Aetherium Fount

The Aetherium Fount is not merely a spring of shimmering metal, but a convergence of Auric Resonance and elemental forces, a place where the veil between realities thins and the raw essence of the cosmos bleeds into the physical world. Located deep within the Glimmering Caverns, hidden behind a waterfall of liquid light, the Fount appears as a swirling vortex of iridescent particles, coalescing into pure, untainted Aetherium. The surrounding cavern walls are adorned with intricate carvings depicting ancient beings and celestial events, hinting at the Fount's otherworldly origins. The Crimson Cartographers have long sought this fount, mapping the subtle shifts in Auric Resonance that lead to its hidden location, calling the path the Resonance Staircase. They believe the Fount is a source of immense power, capable of amplifying magical abilities and unlocking hidden potential. However, approaching the Fount is fraught with peril. The area is guarded by Aetherium Elementals, beings of pure energy that fiercely protect their source, and are drawn to any disruption of its flow. The Silent Monks of Durin's Peak visit the Fount, as it is a place of great peace. The Fount is believed to be located near the Umbral Divide, a crack between realities caused by The Great Sundering. According to Elder Borin's Chronicles, the Forgotten Smith created a device to stabilize the Fount, preventing it from collapsing and unleashing a torrent of chaotic energy upon the world, that is called The Stabilizer. The Shadow-Goblins avoid the Fount, perhaps sensing its disruptive energies. The Order of the Azure Hand seeks to control the Fount, believing they can harness its power to achieve their goals and enact the Celestial Alignment Ritual. Perhaps the Cobalt Corsairs would be interested in using this as a fuel source. The Chitinous Swarm cannot come near, as the Fount burns their bodies. Is the Sunstone of Aethelgard made of Aetherium from this Fount? Accessing the fount may require using the Runes of Alignment.
