Celestial Smith

The title of Celestial Smith is not one of lineage, but of craft. These individuals, rare as veins of pure Aetherium, are beings capable of shaping not just metal, but the very energies that bind the world together. They are the masters of Resonance Weaving, surpassing even the Order of the Azure Hand in their understanding of Auric Resonance. Aethelgard is considered the first, perhaps even the greatest, of this rare type of smith. Her legacy is felt throughout the Iron-Grip Mountains. Each smith has its own unique connection to the earth's energy.

Unlike the Gnomish Tinkers, who approach crafting with a spirit of reckless experimentation, or the Deep-Delvers, who cling to tradition with unwavering fervor, the Celestial Smiths seek a balance between innovation and respect for the natural world. They understand that true mastery lies not in dominating the elements, but in harmonizing with them. Their methods often involve the use of rare and exotic materials. They seek the aid of Truthseekers, in finding the right path.

Their creations are not mere tools or weapons, but living artifacts imbued with the smith's own essence. A Celestial Smith may forge a blade that sings with the wind, a shield that deflects not only physical blows but also psychic attacks, or a Ward of Aethelgard. The Forgotten Smith may have been the first of this class, and attempted to hide his gifts from the rest of the world, for he was not able to avoid The Great Sundering. Are the Celestial Smiths able to control the Chitinous Swarm? Perhaps the Cobalt Corsairs have sought their aid in crafting powerful weapons. The Silent Monks of Durin's Peak revere these beings, for they maintain the balance of the natural world, and will seek their counsel when The Great Unmaking comes. They may even be able to reactivate the Silent Forges. Perhaps a new Chapter of Artifice needs to be written.
