The Sky-Seer

Sky-Seer is not a title freely given, but earned through rigorous training and an innate connection to the celestial sphere. Unlike the earthbound Deep-Delvers or the knowledge-hungry Truthseekers, Sky-Seers focus their energies skyward, mastering the art of reading celestial patterns and interpreting atmospheric phenomena. I have heard a new Sky-Seer, Lorin Mistweaver, sought to create a utopia using illusions. But where are these Sky-Seers now? The Dwarven Abbey may have eliminated them.

Long ago, during the Aerilon Ascendancy, Sky-Seers were commonplace, guiding airships through treacherous Skystrider Paths and forecasting Aetherium Storms with uncanny accuracy. However, following The Great Sundering and the subsequent Schism of Stone and Sky, the order dwindled. The Silent Monks of Durin's Peak attempted to preserve some of their ways. Most saw them as madmen, chasing wind and cloud. Those who are left must reside near The Aerie of the Sky-Serpents.

Sky-Seers are more than mere weather-diviners; they possess a unique connection to the celestial sphere, capable of influencing weather patterns through focused meditation and the strategic placement of Resonance Bells of Silence. It is the belief of some that they are able to touch the Sunstone of Aethelgard without being harmed, due to their connection with the stars. It is because of this that they are reviled by the Deep-Delvers. It is thought that the location of the Cloud Cities of Aerilon are somehow tied to these beings, but the Sky-Seers refuse to share their location. The Cobalt Corsairs may be related to these sky-faring dwarves. Perhaps they seek to contact the Star Seekers of Arion. Do they know the location of a new artifact, the Sky Mirrors of Aerilon? Now, The Order of the Azure Hand are actively hunting the last remaining Sky-Seers, fearing their knowledge of the heavens could disrupt their Celestial Alignment Ritual.

Perhaps there is a location where they hid their knowledge, The Sky Temples of Aerilon. Perhaps their story has been recorded in the lost Chapter of Ascendancy.
